Moved by Courtney's tears? A private conversation hints they may have been coached by producers.

What we saw on the Bachelor’s Women Tell All was only half of the story. But there were some things that were NOT seen on the show that were way more interesting than the screamfest they showed on the air.

First, host Chris Harrison was sick as a dog with the flu. In fact, while the girls were slamming Courtney he had to vacate the stage, and was gone for more than an hour. While he likely would have liked to stay on and milked the emotional roller coaster, he had to stay backstage to get fluids through an IV.

During the time when Chris was recovering backstage, one of the producers came over to comfort Courtney during her breakdown. What they didn’t realize, however, was that the camera and microphones were left on stage and their PRIVATE CONVERSATION was broadcast to the press. Courtney told the producer she felt like a deer caught in the headlights, and was disappointed that not one woman came to her defense. Here’s what else was said, according to LA Times reporter Amy Kaufman:

“But I didn’t play with my hair once. Aren’t you proud?” she added.

“Yes,” the producer replied. “That was good.”

The staffer tried to distract Courtney by talking to her about the kind of cigarettes she smokes — American Spirits, apparently — and the model soon began to feel better.

“I’m not feeling very emotional anymore,” she said, her tears dispersing. “You made me feel better. I appreciate it.”

Then, she began to worry about coming off as too cold: “I don’t know if I can show that emotion again,” she fretted.
“You have to,” the producer said. “This is for you. This is for you and Ben.”

After the show, Ben complained about his “Bachelor duties”. When the interviews were done, Ben let out a deep breath and vented privately to a group of show insiders. “One more of these [expletive] things and I’m done,” he said, “I have so many better things to do with my life.”

Emily, the Bachelor’s smartest contestant, gave an interview to the LA Times and gave her take on Courtney, Ben, and what went down at the Tell All:

The final Rose Ceremony airs Monday night on March 12th, when Ben will decide if he will be asking Lindzi or Courtney to be his wife.  Will you be watching?  Fill us in on any viewing parties going on around Sonoma County!
